About Darren

Darren has 25 year’s experience in the transport industry. Starting his career as an apprentice motor mechanic he was twice awarded NSW Apprentice of the Year. Darren then studied at Sydney University completing his Certificate of Transport Management.

Darren was heavily involved in the Sydney Olympic spectator task, managing a depot of over 100 buses for the duration of the games.

He managed workshops in Sydney, looking after 80 vehicles before relocating to QLD.

Since arriving in QLD Darren has assumed the role of General Manager of Whitsunday Transit and has held positions on the school and management committee’s of the Queensland Bus Industry Council, the peak industry body for the state.
